Definately tomatoes - even the more expensive shop ones cannot compare to a warm, fresh, ripe tomato just picked. Runner & french beans as you could pick those every other day and freeze the surplus. Rhubarb is also great.
If you eat berries, one blackcurrant bush can be prolific although it needs a bit of space, likewise redcurrants. Blackberry is good as it wont take up much ground space, just need somewhere to climb and the fruits can be big and juicy.Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Watch out for the the dig in campaign on the bbc-can't get better value than free seeds, look quite a good selection this year (another thread lists them all)
