I haven't had a pack since about 1999. I bought a pack of New York Pretzels in Tesco today and I have a bag of chocolate chips in the cooking cupboard. I think I might have a go at melting the chocolate chips and submerging my pretzels. Who thinks it'll be yum, and who thinks it'll be yuck? I'll let you know how the experiment works out.

I remember them, I get them from American Food shops when I pass them but they are about £4 a pack. I read online about making your own but its apparently quite hard to get the chocolate to stick to the pretzels.0

Okay, the experiment is a partial success. The chocolate is still molten and I think the pretzels will taste better when it hardens. Nonetheless I think I'm onto a good thing here, and the chocolate does seem to stick quite well. I might try it with Cadbury's chocolate next time though, the choc chip flavour isn't very strong. And they're Penn State pretzels (not New YorK - where did I get that from?)0

you can buy them on ebay, but they are quite pricey. I LOVED them when they were available.

they sell them in cybercandy (shops in Birmingham, Brighton and London) https://www.cybercandy.co.uk but they are pricey from there.
I just wish I wasn't so addicted to them0 -
Yes, they are expensive at £17 for a case of 12. Hmm, might get my daughter to order me some for Mother's Day. My homemade ones are okay but sticky; I think I'll have to put them in the fridge next time I make them.0

I do this regularly, the problem I have though is I can't wait for the chocolate to completely harden before eating lol.0

Glad I'm not the only one :rotfl:
What chocolate do you use?0 -
I've tried with galaxy, dairy milk and sainsburys' basic chocolate (27p per 100g bar). They all have pretty much the same effect apart from the galaxy seems to take ages to harden!0

Thats where I often get mine from although a lot of the time I go there and they don't have any in stock. Another place that sells them in Lets Eat in Milton Keynes but they are the same, sometimes they have stock other times they don't.0
