NowFly free luggage tracker (works forever)

For the next two weeks NowFly are giving away free luggage trackers. They don't hold any personal info but use a 'unique serial number and barcode' so you can locate your belongings wherever they are in the world. Apparently works by a baggage official scanning the serial code and then an email and SMS text are immediately sent to you, notifying you of the whereabouts. Seems quite cool - p&p's £1.51 apparently but it normally costs £12.50 :) It works forever I think.

Would be nice to have a computer tell me rather than waiting around at an airport desk next time something goes wrong :(

    Edit: I emailed them and they just said it's been broken but fixed now :)

    It worked for me!

    Edit, Actually it didn't. It accepted the code and immediately emailed me to try to charge me £14...

    Strange, because the promotion and it's code are advertised on the front page of the site.

    Be careful if you try this!

    I`m a bit unsure about this one, What is the company that runs the database getting out of this ?

    You buy the tags off one company (although in this instance you are just paying P&P) and get a life-time service off another for nothing.

    Is it likely that the database company is going to change the terms on how they hold the data ?, ie introduce an annual subscription, charge you for retrieving tracking information etc.
