    Munchki,
Love the idea - lots. very quick search showed very little ebay competition and one uk website. didn't look at folksy etc.
Loads of people do christmas eve hampers with christmassy blankets in. so may be a thought for later in the year.
How about offering custom ones through ebay. ie someone orders and you say 2 week turnaround so get money up front to get materials. Think its acceptable to pay upfront and have a wait when ordering custom items.

would love to but first I also have to have about 25quid to get a new lead for my machine lol, it has been lost somewhere along the line! And then I have to buy batting for them as well

  • Aww, notebook heaven sounds lovely! I'm making a purple notebook at the moment, coincidentally, lol. I don't think it'll be as nice as yours, though!

I feel so inspired again, I'm ignoring the worries from earlier and creating!

I think Munchki's given you the perfect name there - Notebook Heaven!

quillow sounds great. Can I have a Peppa Pig one for my great niece, please LOL. (Or just one with her name on would be fine). And if you can get a sample together it can do the rounds of the craft fairs with us.

Toots, you are in for the craft fair promotions :-) So that's 3 of us (4 if munchki can get a quillow together).

Saucy, safari sounds good. You could do zebra, giraffe, tiger, cheetah, leopard. Maybe even lion with fringing round the outside for a mane. Since Twilight is big I'd look at something Twilight inspired (but obviously without breaching copyright, after my rant a couple of days ago!). Cupcakes are big news for some reason, so cupcake themed would go down well I guess. I'd keep an eye on what colours are big on the high street as the fashionistas may want everything in the current colours. DD and I were in town today and lime green was everywhere, so maybe some in "this seasons" colours would go down well.

I do the odd notebook/journal myself but nothing like yours and I'm not planning on having any on my craft stall (although may do the odd one on Folksy if that's ok?) so we are still good for the promoting each other at craft shows thing. I tend to do altered style stuff so quite....um.... odd LOL.

I have lots of christmassy fabric.........and yes, ebay that is a rather good idea. I used to charge about 25-35 for normal ones and more for the custom ones. Even my son has one which he loves and he is 21

munchki, I'll have a look in my cupboard and see if I have anything you might use. I'm sure I had batting, but not sure if it survived my last cull.

And if you can do me one I will pay up front so you can get your lead. I would need Peppa Pig or one with Megan on it for the first week in April - any chance?

Munchki - can't help with the lead I'm afraid...... but still a fab idea.... I wish I was crafty.... not fair....

I like sewing (with the machine) too but I am very poor at it.... I can just about to straight lines... if you squint your eyes and look at it sideways! LOL!

I';m off to bed, hopefully the LO's will sleep in but I have a feeling.....
