An interesting website that a friend has just posted on facebook. Not had much of a look yet but appears relevant - how to make ideas happen.
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

    Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
    And then do it.
  • Hi all,

2cats, I am in love with your pendants, you are so clever! Your pink CD pendant is beautiful, agree with the others though, they are so cheap, I would def part with double that for your bits, they are gorgeous!

Amber - may not be Spain (god, i wish!) but know how you feel, cheer up, friends are made in the strangest of places!

Just having a nosey on EBay as OH has gone off to catch the late tide and won't be home til the morning and found something.

I know books are generally no no, but this one is local, trouble is, is it just me or does the listing make it sound like she has sorted through the boxes, taken out all the good ones and is trying to palm off the carp ones, or am I just being cynical as I am left on my own?

3000+ books for £500, works out at about 15p each so suppose with a car boot, could shift a few, but not sure, opinions please!

Here's an update for everyone helping me on my Valentine's Day missing ebay item - the guy said it definitely still hadn't arrived yesterday so I agreed to give him a full refund and swallow the costs as I guaranteed it would arrive in time for V Day and he had to buy a new gift on Saturday afternoon. I've just got home and checked with the PO website and it says it was delivered on Wednesday. The guy's now saying it didn't arrive so I now have his word against the PO's.

I'll obviously call the PO tomorrow to check and see who signed for it but not really sure what to say to him tonight.

New advice needed oh wise ones please :)

Know it is a pain, but did you sed it recorded? If you did, then the PO will have a copy of his signature on file, think it will cost you £1 if you want a copy of it, but if I were you, would open an unpaid item dispute, looks like you have been diddled. Sorry

  • Susie, that looks very suspicious. Don't let him get away with it!

MummyandPaige - I wouldn't touch that with a bargepole, she's taken all the sellable ones and admitted that the ones she does have sell for less then 1p on Amazon. I just can't see you making a return...or her making a sale, actually. Only a mug would pay
£500 for books three other people have picked through, tried to sell and rejected!

Edit: Sorry if that sounded harsh!

Skint - I'm making a cupcake book :) And I have photo corners. A great idea, thanks!

I'm going to make lined and plain in seperate books I think, and offer mixed at extra cost. I don't have any unlined. Thanks everyone :)

Feeling sorry for OH, I'm feeling rubbish again. Bless him.

Thanks ladies, I sent it recorded on Monday and agreed yesterday to give him the refund. I haven't actually refunded yet for 2 reasons 1. My Paypal account is still blocked (driving me mad!) so I can't make any transactions anyway and 2. I wanted to check with the PO first, no point in paying for recorded delivery and not using the info!

OK, I think I'll just leave it til tomorrow to contact him when I'm armed with all the facts.

    Thanks again x

Hi Wayne- don't worry about your programmes, I had 3 scalextric catalogues listed last week and no interest. This week they've all sold! Only takes that one person :-)

Susie hope you get your eBay problem sorted, sounds like he's pulling a fast one but who knows :-/

Cheers Saucy, glad its not just me! Worst thing is she has had 5 offers so far! 1980's kids books hmmm, wish she had left them in! Grrr bloody cat keeps rolling on the delete key!

Susie - only transaction you can make on a blocked account is a refund, but don't, if he tries to open a dispute, just put the tracking number into Paypal, they will check it and tell him to poke it.

ok back home now. a few ok several pints of guinness later and lost every single game of pool grrrrrrrrrrr. Now waiting for food to arrive as it was decided that the pork joint can wait til tomorrow. A glass of wine in hand, xmen on telly and now back to working on writing this app thingy. I have found that I work best under pressure, so maybe this is a good thing. Really wish however that I had the time now to have someone look at my answers lol.....
