I have one of these sat navs, have had it 2 years and i have to they aint up to much, tomtom is far better, there have been no updates on the binatone website since dec 2007 , or wasnt when i last checked, so most maps outdated.
Good price tho, and i have wiped it and installed tomtom on it, used it in America last august and had no probs with it, took a bit of working out but if your capable buy one and install another navigator like i did.

I got one of these for £35 a month or so ago. Its ok, nothing special and I prefer my Navman but it does the job.

I need to update my Navman but got an older model so no updates anymore. Could I do install something else on it? Any links to a web site that can tell me how?!

No you can't put anything else on a navman, but I think you can on a binatone some are more successful than others, I've had a look and apparently you can. I have a cheapo one from ebuyer which is now running tomtom and it seems you can do the same thing with the binatone, visit the pctailor for instructions

Yes you can, type tomtom navman into google and theres loads of forums telling you how to do it and where to get more info, some navman units need to be unlocked according to some sites, and others you just install straight in, it can get comlicated to make sure you have plenty time on your hands to do it.
Took me about 2 hours to clear my binatone, then put in tomtom with uk and usa maps.

I have one of these and it is quite adequate for everyday use. I travelled all over the UK before Xmas for 2 weeks and it did not let me down once. However fascinated to hear you can change the software Now we need a techy to come along and help us.
