    I keep repeating it depends on salaries and amount you want to borrow...maybe yr husband/partner's salary will be enough...You say you haven't been working for last 3 years then you say you've been self employed for the last 2...this doesn't make sense, you're either working (employed or self employed) or not working

    Well, I'm self employed but in these current financial times I didn't think that would matter a jot! Since when I talked direct to the banks 6 months ago they didn't want to know at all. Said I couldn't prove my income as I didn't have enough documentation to support an application (I've got only one IR statement after all). Nothings changed so was just planning on ignoring the fact I'm self employed all together as my wage is ok.

    Our wages will get us the mortgage! The thing that might stop us is the fact I've no employment history for last 3 years and the fact I have these 2 debts!

    Thanks for your help. I'll wait until Monday to talk to Advisor. Just wanted to set myself up ready for rejection if it's coming is all.

    No you've been a mum so if one wage will do that's ok.....you may have to pay off that loan tho...wait until you see the advisor...good luck
