Dads 60th Birthday

My dad is 60 in a couple of weeks and we have got a main present for him. We now want to do some fun things. We have thought of a denture case, an application form for his bus pass, an applcation form for the b &q diamond card.
Can anyone think of anything else please?

Why not ask this on the Silver Savers board? You might get a few more ideas.
Personally I would be horrified to get those gifts, not even as a joke. However we all have different views and you know your dad the best. Getting to the 60 milestone is a pretty sensitive time though, I and others I know would not enjoy having our noses rubbed in it!
Good luck

My main gift to my dad on his 70th was a cake which I baked and deccorated like the back end of a cow! (He was a dairy farmer up to retirement.) He knew I'd gone to a lot of effort with the cake and I felt it was OK as a main gift, even though it was pretty plain under the icing.
I gave him a Sinatra CD or similar from Poundland too - one that was on Amazon for almost £10 so not as cheapskate as it might seem.
(In mitigation, I'd been made redundant a few days earlier...)0
