Hi
Doing my bit for tommorow and the recipe states i need lamb stock Which i couldnt find any at the supermarket!!
We have in beef, veg and chicken. Would any of these do?
Im imagining not as its for lamb casserole - but really i dont have a clue!!!:o

I would use beef or veg with no problem - lamb stock cubes are, I think, a fairly new phenomenom. I'm sure with the other lovely flavours in your casserole you'll never taste the 'beefiness' or 'vegginess'0

I'd use any of the ones you have. None of them will make your dish inedible or even remotely unpleasant.0

I regularly use beef stock cubes or beef OXO when cooking lamb caseroles and hot pots. By the time you've got all the other ingredients in and cooked and blended it won't make a huge amount of difference. It's probably better to user lighter colour stock cubes with light coloured meats like chicken or pork, and darker coloured stock cubes with darker colour meats like lamb or beef but the end result is more cosmetic in the colour of the sauce rather than the actual flavour.0
