I previously used Baines and Ernst who are just a bunch of bandits before I moved to Payplan and on the whole they have been pretty good. I have noticed in the last few months though that the dates they pay the crediotrs are moving by a few days here or there which results in a crappy letter coming from the creditor but I usually get on the phone to Payplan and they speak to the creditor straight away.

I used to get very stressed out even with B&E so the idea of dealing with it myself is a bit freaky as its another barrier and creditors are less likely to want the blood out of the stone.

James, thanks for your input. i'm not sure about whether or not I would have defaulted by not going to payplan. what i'm more bothered about is that they had my trust and my money!

Hmmm, sorry I read it too quickly and thought you were assuming they were late because you had defaults. A shocker if youre getting threatened with CCJs because they are not making payments on time.

If you can get all your creditors to agree to a private DMP at the same rate then I say go for it. You might get some creditors who are not happy with this however.

    Good luck!
