I'd be really grateful for some advise please.
The two year fixed deal on my mortgage comes to an end in September. I would like to remortgage then to another provider.
I am actually working abroad for at the moment and will be for the next year at least. I would be grateful for any tips and advice people can provide on remortgaging from abroad. Also, this may be silly, but do I need to contact and inform my solicitor if I remortgage? Again, this will be difficult as I won't be back in the UK before Sept.
Thanks a lot

HI Andy
Are you renting out your property whilst you are away? if so, did you get permission to let from your lender? It is possible to get a residential remortgage if you are workng abroad if you intend to return back to your property in the near future. Some mortgages offer free legal work included in the deal - you don't actually have to go in and see these solicitors it is all done through the post so this could be useful for you.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me.

Depending on what your plans are or who your lender currently is, it may be worth while staying with the current lender. They may offer you a good deal, and a quick switch on to a new rate and hey presto.
