Anyone know where I can learn to knit? Ideally somewhere near bradford? willing to travel I've tried to learn online but I'm just not getting it....maybe it's because I'm left handed?

If I didn't have knitting friends, I'd wander into any shops which sell knitting wool and ask if they knew of any classes / teachers / groups - but you may find that someone there would be willing to give you some lessons.

Or there's this organisation (which I found by googling Stitch and !!!!!, but don't let that put you off!)

Or there are online tutorials, and I'm sure the Old Stylers would help out! Although having someone there to begin with is probably a good plan ...

Thanks for that...my hubby thinks Im nuts as Im a young would be knitter but it's something I've wanted to do for ages x

There is a lovely shop in Headingley, Leeds called Baa Ram Ewe which do classes for beginners on a Saturday. A four hour lesson including materials is £35. Have a look here www.baaramewe.co.uk
