Looks like you all had fun last night!
Spud - how was the dress?
Spud's dress was lovely Pooky - that and the new boots, she looked very elegant. And she had a VERY good time tooYOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

I've narrowed it down to
1. Cala D'Or - huge balcony, everything acessible but not sure about it being on the edge of a pedestrianised area. Apparently quiet though in May. £500 between us.
happy to show some flexibility on the price. The owners also own the bar on the ground floor.
The time I went there was [STRIKE]!!!
It was set up for Germans
There was nothing to do, and everything else is a taxi ride away and they taxi drivers know it:mad:PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT NERD #869Numpty,Not sure why but I'm crying. Of all the peeps on this board you're the kindest & most supportive of all & I'm  &

Hey everyone hows it going? Thats me spent just a touch under £800 this year, aslong as its below £1k at the end of the month im on track for getting by on just £6k this year. Something i never thought would be possible last year. A few months down the line il be seeing some rewards for frugal living. All i have left to pay for this month is fuel so hopefully i can stay under £850. Dreadful mot next month so may go over £500 for the month. I think April and May will be 2 of the most frugal months of the year for me, working non stop i hope.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

well the peice of beef was beautiful cooked in the sc it fell apart when cut mmm, just eating dinner now. (even made the gravy using the stock from sc
theres enough beef left to go back into the sc for a stew tooso dh is going to cut some more veg and peel potatos when he's finished eating.
so out of a £2 peice of beef we had a cooked dinner and a stew
and out of a £2 tub of mince beef a lasagne and a chilli. I've now got a terrible stress headache though through struggling to cook all that on my own.
apple crumble for desert anyone?Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -

ooooh, interesting, thankyou numpty. :A ooh, just realised - do you mean Cala D'or? Or the last bit of my quote about the bar owners as that is Cala Millor? We like quiet, but with bus routes nearby. OH said last night he didn't mind hiring a car for a day or so, which is something that threw everything into the air as he's never wanted to do that before, but I'm still sticking to the east coast. The north isn't very accessible without a car - there aren't any cheap transfers, just taxis which are £60 each way."Stay Wonky":D

Spud - how was the dress?
Just been to a friends for dinner but had to come back early as DH was uncomfortable. Roast dinners always taste nicer when you don't have to do the washing up.
I love my dress Pooky. Glad I was brave and wore itSpud's dress was lovely Pooky - that and the new boots, she looked very elegant. And she had a VERY good time too
Thanks Suzy. I did have a very good time - a tad too much to drink and lots of dancing. I'm dreading the rest of the photos
It was so good to see you all. Feel a bit post-meet sad now though, it'll likely be ages before we all get together againIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

That's impressive Rictus. I may be looking to get by on £1000 a month after March so may be looking to you for tips.

BB-the Cala D'or place..do you know if it's on the Marina side of town,or in the touristy part of town itself??The town can be a little tacky-although I'm sure it's quieter in May than our usual visit in August...
The Marina side is quite upmarket (for that read expensive) with lots of flashy bars/restaurants..and a few family run cafe style places...its a nice walk around the marina in the evening looking at the boats....Debt-free...and staying that way...0 -
Why £1000 butti? I will try but you have to remember i stay at home with my parents so £135 a month covers phone, food, lunches for work etc. I still have insurance and maitenance of an expensive van to pay. Next year i might go for the same again and on my 4th year wage for first half of year then time served wage second half of the year, il be looking at a large surplus at the end of every month if i can do it on £500 or less. Should be debt free in the next few months, then il be saving up a little emergency fund, then for a car then after the car itl be a bit more to the emergency fund then a house deposit! Maybe another summer holiday to celebrate being debt free and sorting my finances out, the way im going now il manage to afford it no problem.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
