Hi there if you are wanting to do a random striped pattern in your knitting then check out this site.. http://www.biscuitsandjam.com/stripe_maker.php You select your colours then the number of stripes, you can select more than 1 then click on generate my stripes. If you don't like the pattern then push your refresh key and it will continue to give patterns.
Give it a go it is amazing. My nephew and his wife are having their first baby soon and I emailed her the link to choose colours for the blanket I said I would make. Apparently they spent ages playing on it until they found a design they liked.
