Supermarket price alerts?

Does anyone know if there is such a tool on any site such as mysupermarket where you can enter your favourites, like you do at Tesco and if any items that you regularly buy are on special offer it can email or alert you as to which shop has what and where.

Rather than me having to go through all 4 shops on Mysupermarket trying to find out who has the best bargain on an item i want? say if i want to buy fairy liquid, is there a tool that can automatically alert me when fairy liquid is on offer anywhere, rather than me finding fairy liquid on mysupermarket then seeing who has the best deal

I don't mind doing this for the odd item every now and then, but just thought it would be useful if you could type in a basic shopping list on a comparison website and once an item on your list is on offer, you are alerted!!!

I just tried that, it just sends you an email for catorgories you tick an interest in like baby or pet or household.

I think the OP meant like picking your favourite brands I getting an email saying if & where they were on offer, I would like this.

I also wish Boots did it.

I also think this would be a great idea.

ie: You type in a list of your favourite items, and then they send you an email when someone has that item on Special Offer...

Eg:

Dear OWEI,
Sainscos has red lentils on special offer this week at £1 per Kg (£4 per Kg in Waitburys/Morrisdas/Tescburys)
