Single person max mortgage

Options
Can anyone advise me on the max amount a mortgage can go up to for a single person earning £21,000 pa.

The only other financial expenses I have are a personal loan for £8000 currently payinging back £325 a month and my credit card which I pay about £100 per month.

Also do mortgages for single people take into consideration the other people's income in the house?

The reason why I am asking is that I am thinking about buying my parents council house and moving in with them to help dad look after mum and give them a bit of security.

Im guessing you will be able to borrow up to £85K, you can do 'how much can I borrow?' calculators on any mortgage website eg. https://www.halifax.co.uk

Without your loans outgoings you should be able to get up to 100k. HSBC is assessing your situation and goes by affordability where your essential outgoings (including the mortgage) should not exceed 60% of your net income.
