In January I purchase from BigOffers.co.uk who also are known as many other domains
Big Offers (BigOffers) www . bigoffers . co . uk
Boffer www . boffer . co . uk
Quid Shop (QuidShop) www . quidshop . co . uk
Big Pockets (BigPockets) www . bigpockets . co . uk
I purchase 7 items from this shambles of a company, I get an email from the company exactly two weeks later that goods have been dispatched and provided tracking information.
I thought better late than never, and greeted the City-Link driver with a smile on my face, when he handed me a bag the size of a packet of crisps when expecting a very large box, or at least a number of smaller ones, I was shocked to unwrap it to find a "Valentine's card" with a photocopy of a letter claiming that the previous company owners had problems with stock and delivery, and that it had been taken over by new management - I guess administrators! So I lose my original payment, and get a stupid card which presumably they could have emailed me to tell me that they had gone into administration rather than pay a courier with my money to tell me I won't be getting my goods.
There is no contact details on the photocopy letter, and none on the website (I believe this to be illegal for UK companies). I have opened a "ticket" from the website but don't hold up much hope for a reply.
I wanted to provide this information to warn other buyers as they don't even mention any problems on their website, could it even be a rolling scam tell people they have gone bankrupt each and every week keeping the monies?

Big offers has been taken over by someone from dragons den i think as I received this email:
We’ve got a very special announcement to make...BigOffers.co.uk & Boffer are now under new management! and ownership. Check out the press release here!
The previous owner, IT entrepreneur Cheryl Hardwick, has decided to sell the websites to BBC Online Dragons’ Den star Shaf Rasul.
Shaf has drafted in a new Managing Director Tom Mursell who will be heading up and running BigOffers.co.uk and Boffer.co.uk. Tom is part of an apprentice scheme to develop 4 of Britain’s leading young entrepreneurs - read more about it here and here or watch the video of Shaf & Tom on The Hour Show!
We have a lot of plans on improving the Boffer and BigOffers.co.uk websites and making them better for you so we can bring you bigger and better deals.
As a valuable member of the Boffer and BigOffers.co.uk community we will be getting in touch so you can give us your opinion on what we should do.to be updated:;)0 -
Just to balance this out a bit I'd thought I detail my experience of Bigoffers.
I have placed three orders with Bigoffers. The first for a laptop was cancelled due to website stock errors. I had an email from Tom Mursell to advise an alternative. The alternative was of lower spec than the original, however I advised tom of this and suggested a more suitable alternative a Toshiba NB200 as opposed to the original order for a Toshiba NB100. Tom got this dealt with both speedily and professionally and after a couple of days I received the laptop. I then placed an order for two basketball systems along with some small ticket items, both basketball systems turned up damaged (courier no doubt). I sent an email direct to Tom with photos of the damage and Tom sorted out a replacement of one of them which arrived speedily. The other had more minor damage and when the weather gets better I'll be able to see if I can live with it, with a promise from Bigoffers that they will replace if not. My third order was received without hitch, all items turned up as they had done previously and I used the Masterplug 25 meter extension with RCD priced at £12.99 the other day to jet wash the tennis court. This was half the price of even fleabay.
All in all excellent customer service and when things did go wrong they were promptly dealt with. Tom is a man of his word and in this day and age your can't ask for anymore than that. Now he is running the show I am sure he will instil the same behaviour and values in his staff.
...and no I don't have any relationship with Bigoffers other than being a new satisfied customer.0 -

Mind you McAfee Site Advisor reckons it's a dodgy site which may harm the security of your computer so be careful with downloads.
