My digi cam has normal rechargable batteries and providing I do a full charge has never let me down.
Thanks OP- I've managed to get it down to under £50!!
Here's the maths-I could only use a £10 off voucher because I am already a customer. so that's £90.
Then used commission I'd accumulated so that brought it down to £60.68.
I went through Quidco so that's around £3.60 off and I'll get 10% commission on the purchase which will be £6.06.
So in total it comes up to £49.02 - not bad eh!!Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

I bought something the other day from Lx my wife has an account but i did not. So i set one up and got the new customer discount.
I'm sure littlewoods would be the same !!!!
Ps I think this camera is a perfect for the persons daughter. I got it this morning and was taking pictures minutes later.
It doesn't have loads of different buttons half of which you don't use. Its simple and nice and compact as well.0 -

Sounds more like a personal opinion than technical fact. Have you never used Ni-Mh batteries? (Nickel Metal Hydride). They can be topped up any time and retain charge for long periods. Wanna see the data sheets? I got 8 2500mAh batteries from 7dayshop. Charged them, used 4. I then left the other 4 untouched for about 3 months. When I cam to use them they were practically fully charged.
For convenience, flexibility and value for money Ni-Mh AA's can't be beaten.Marillion - A Better Way of Life.0 -

I have a current LX Direct account but could use a camera for my holidays. Does anyone know a way of reducing the price further?Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0

Like i said at the beginning littlewoods is cheaper (bigger discount codes & free delivery). It does not matter if you are a member at LX direct.
