Shops shut, people couldn't get to work, transport ground to a halt.....
Be more of a surprise if that didn't kick the numbers negative for this quarter, to be honest.
And inclement weather may yet return before March....

I think that we are going back into recession this year and unemployment will hit 3 million. It is about time the government stopped firms from moving our manufacturing abroad and too many foreign companies hold our future in their hands.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

How would they do this? Force factories to remain open?
I would rather have a tshirt costing £2 made in China than one costing £15 made in the UK. I imagine that most people(except the guys making the tshirt would agree)0 -
But this comes down to high government taxes squeezing every last penny out of the economy and subservient people (US!!!) and not demanding that the banks pay us back every last penny with interest before giving themselves huge bonusesBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

As opposed to a T-Shirt where you are charged £15 quid for it and cost the company £2 to make in China and the differential is trousered by the company.
No doubt Brown and Mandy will say they had "strong words" with the company :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry, didn't realise I was supposed to be a meteorologist as well as having the ability to state the bl00dy obvious......“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Last time I checked January was still in the first quarter of the year.
Which would make it somewhat relevant to the question asked by the OP....In light of the above news what will we see in Q1 for the UK in 2010?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Agree, favourite are the bearish posters explaining why house prices have recovered since Feb 2009 when they were predicting whopping falls
