Hi - I am sure there are lots of nice places in Lake District. Look on
http://maps.direct.gov.uk/LDGRedirect/MapAction.do?ref=weddingvenues
this helped with venues but also try local governments or counties websites. Some smaller venues dont advertise on the wedding websites as it costs money. You can try things like museums, windmills etc as these will be big enough for small number of guests. Good luck, hope you find somewhere good.We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0 -

have you been anywhere that is a bit more midlands that you recommend?:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -
Where in the Midlands are you thinking about and what is your budget? Its all relative.
For instance there are some gorgeous registry offices in Worcestershire - the ones I am thinking of are Kidderminster and Tenbury Wells. I know a great venue where you can get married and have the reception but that is pricey at £4000 for exclusive use and then your food and entertainment on top.0 -

not at all interested in reception etc-we are having a huge party the week after, just want to go out for nice food and drinks after and then be able to stumble up to bed- or not too far if its individual bnb's...!!
not more than £50 per person b and b- there will be 15 of us maximum....:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -
The bridge inn wetherby, W Yorks is beautiful, lovely and peaceful. I'm not sure what numbers they cater for. I enquired about just getting married there as we wanted the reception at our place and they seemed a bit put out by it, like I was asking for naked jugglers or something0

Hi
I dont know venues in the midlands other than hotels personally. Our wedding will be in this museum

Having meal in a local restaurant with seaviews. The pictures dont do it justice. Food and drinks, staff and atmosphere are great !!

How about somewhere abroad? Just a thought, I personally think going away to somewhere like Italy or somewhere with a lovely beach, just a small thing arranged in the hotel would be perfect . Relaxing, and no stress as already organised. Of course it could be too expensive, I just think it would be a lovely thing to do.0
