hi there some of you may remember me from a few months ago i used to post nearly every day and really begun watching the pennies, since then i have gone back to work as i was on maternity leave and i have brought my first house and since i have moved, my non- spending of money seems to have gone to pot. I generally used to have at least 2 - 3 days of non spending per week these days im lucky to have a non spend day a month. i think i just need to get motivated again and start getting those debts down,. so folks i have posted for a bit of motivatiobn from you all
thanks

hi there love
Do you keep a spending diary still? that can shock you into having a bit less spending. Mind you i hardly ever have nospend days it doesnt mean that we dont NEED what we are buying
what have you been buying?
Welcome back:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

It's not how often you spend, but what you buy that's important. You might buy the exact same items in seven daily shops as a one weekly shop, but you won't have any no-spend days.
The spending diary is a very good idea, it'll pick up if you're comfort shopping or wasting money in other ways."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
because i have my daughter now im forever buying nappies wipes, clothes, paying nursery fees or petrol it really is never ending i do buy in bulk though but the more i buy the more she uses its a no win situation i think0

Welcome back
Thursday 13th july so far no spend :T0 -
Don't beat yourself up about lack of 'no spend days' hun, things are just different now and you might need to buy stuff little and often. The main thing is having a budget and sticking to it, do you still have budget figures in your head to work to?
Your situation (incomings/outgoings etc) must have changed quite a bit with going back to work, buying a house etc. Perhaps you have less money spare, perhaps more, but why not do another soa and see what the situation is, in black and white?!
Definitely start that spending diary, just a little notebook will do or else a spreadsheet if you're like me and like to do lots of calculations!! Usually as a method of avoiding work that needs doing, I have to say :rotfl:
Give yourself a gentle kick up the bum to get back into the habit of not spending money but also cut yourself some slack!
Good luck
