Hidden rotten fruit / veg

Any one else noticed how often the packs of ( e.g tomatoes / strawberries ....) contain ONE rotten item per pack - hidden / stuffed under the non- see through part of the packaging...??
Not too bad as long as you unpack and wash ( you do wash!!??) as soon as you get it home - but if left for a day or two the rot spread and can ruin the whole pack.
It is quite obvious this is a deliberate policy - rather than waste the item ( probably old / out of date) or even worse as a deliberate spoiler - need some one inside to confirm
M****ns particularly...

This is , I think, why they are called 'specially selected'.
Specially selected to include one poor quality in each pack.

Yes I certainly have.
I complained to A$&A about this. I received a sarcastic reply, saying they 'can understand how upsetting it must be to find a rotten tomato in a pack'. Bl00dy annoying more like! Best to pick your own from the loose selection.

you should see me in the supermarket - lifting up the plastic boxes to every angle in the light to see if there are any bad ones.... hehehe.
think its just luck of the draw, although if you check when you get home and quickly use it up (if its not to bad) or take it out, then its usually ok.0 -
Lol they do this with meat too, lovely lean piece of meat big lump of fat ( making the weight up ) under the label, or even more sneaky a loose bit of fat hidden under the meat!Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Instant rage when that happens, but I've never complained. If we all did, maybe we'd get better fruit and vegetables. (or be banned from the store!)" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Don't hold back now will you?
:wave:Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I thought I was the only one this happened to! I have never seen the subject brought up before, so glad to know it's not just me! I think this must be a specialised job, they make such a good job of hiding rotten fruit and fatty meat! Agree it's damned annoying."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
