Stardoll warning....please read if thinking of joining

My daughters have been quite happily using the free stardoll for months and with their xmas money they wanted to become a paid member....allows them to buy clothes etc....
Firstly I know my daughter and neice have not given out any passwords etc...
For a week or 2 all was fine, then my neice who also joined couldn't log in, had to get a new password sent via email.....this happening regulary, and my youngest daughter had joined using my neices hotmail account so wondered if it was cos the accounts were linked it was causing confusion. So changed my daughters account to my email and as my neice couldn't access her hotmail (which assumed must have been hacked) opened a new one....
Anyway to cut a long story short, i get an email to my outlook saying my daughters email had been changed etc....Stardoll are not responding to any emails i send them about stolen accounts.
On googling came across this on you tube, saying it is an internal issue, people are pretending to be staff....and just to anyone thinking of joining, dont bother as a quick google shows I'm far from alone.....this is very stressful to the kids as they love this site.
But the worrying thing is that someone has stolen my neices hotmail account and has access to her friends and has posted something quite disgusting on her status in msn.
I wish i knew how to take up my complaint further but as of yet have had no response from Stardoll
Sorry...I'm not very good at describing, but in a nutshell Stardoll accounts are very easily stolen which results in £30+ down the drain and one very upset daughter.
