whats the chances if credit rating showing poor after i was late with a payment never been late before and i put 10k on a car and borrowed 10k would it pass or still likely fail
i have 10k inheritance so wanna get a really nice car but i can afford about 400 amonth the pay finance

    Impossible to say from the info given. You need to look at your income, any other current debts you have, any credit you have.

    Usually a credit rating would not be 'poor' on just one late payment. Have you seen a fully copy of your credit report? What other accounts are showing? are you on the electoral roll? do you have any defaults/CCJs/ arrangements to pay showing?

    Do you want an unsecured loan or a secured HP?

    Personally though I'd buy a really nice car for £10k and save my £400pm for something else.
