Notifying Mortgage co re father

My father is considering coming to live with us. We are all happy about that.
I understand that I have a duty to tell the mortgage company that we have someone who is planning on staying for more than thirty days.
In March we come off a fixed rate mortgage. What implications are there re another adult in the house for the mortgage, if any? What if we move house?
Our mortgage is slightly over paid and we have never missed a payment.
Many thanks for any help.

Why would you tell your mortgage Co. about a non paying guest / non profit making guest who will be living with you for a short spell of time? You are still living in the mortgaged property and not letting out in any way, I dont see that they have any interest in knowing to be honest, providing of course you are having no issues meeting your monthly repayments?ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)

I think maybe you are thinking of your insurance company.
I had to tell ours when we renewed our contents/builings cover.
But cant think why you would need to inform your mortgage companymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I have a patchily brilliant/appalling memory.
I remember the solicitors telling us in 1994 that we needed to inform the mortgage company if someone came to live with us for more than thirty days. It is, I believe, because if they need to evict us then they have to serve copies of the eviction notices on any other adult over 18 living at the address.
I suppose if I don't need to, or it's not important, then I will stop being silly. There is currently no problems meeting the mortgage and fingers crossed that continues.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
