Hi there,
Came across the strangest thing, I got my credit report from CreditExpert and Equifax today and neither of them are showing a loan I took out with my bank (FD) over 8 months ago!!
I am still waiting for a pin number to come through for CallCredit, but I find this quite strange as I've had loans in the past from Lloyds bank and Cahoot and they have always been on there.
Anyone else experienced this or am I just really lucky in this case?
Cheers all,
MT.

HSBC only share information with credit agencies if you are behind with payments - I think this policy is due to change with them sharing 'in-order' account information too.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

So would a company doing a credit search on someone not see the loan on the credit record?
I guess it cuts down on the information they have to update each month? lets face it if someone is taking credit out in your name, they're not going to pay the money back each month so would then show up on your credit report?

I think it also depends when you opened your first account with FD/HSBC, accounts opened before 1998 may not appear on CRA,0

I have a loan with FD (no late/missed payments) and it shows up on my credit report. It was taken out in 2007, although my FD account pre-dates it, so what StarM says would make sense in my case.LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
