try to move the receiver away from anything electrical.....I had a problem with my keboard yesterday which I put down to the batteries (two weeks old) put new ones in and it was the same, then I noticed that the receiver was next to my external harddrive, moved the receiver away from it and the keyboard worked great.
If I'm not mistaken the instructions mention something about positioning of the receiver.Welcome, rogerramjet.

Excuse me for going a bit off topic here, but does anyone know the typical warranty of a Logitech wireless/opical mouse? Mine packed in but I've left it gathering dust for 2 years or so since. It'd be great to get a replacement or refund.
Well the mouse I'm using now is a logitech 'replacement' they were quite flexible and even with me stating it was 14 months old they sent a replacement from Switzerland which was the equivalent replacement, equally a good few years back they replaced a scanner after 18 months, but then at the prices you pay for them they can afford to be generous. Similar service from Belkin.rogerramjet wrote:Quote:

these receivers are very sensitive to any electromagnetic device, eg speakersAmba_Gambla wrote:great post, mine arrive (free delivery) after enarly a week, but they're installed now and work a treat......

You have to set the appropriate settings in your OS and possibly the BIOSvBulletin getting better!0 -
Mine arrived today. Moderately pleased with it. Installed easily although I had to adjust the pointer speed - as others had mentioned it was zooming around all over the place.
However, one thing I'm noticing is that occasionally the mouse is behaving as if I'm holding down the left button, ie selecting text, when I haven't pressed anything at all. Anyone know why this might be happening? I've gone into the mouse settings and can confirm that the clicklock box isn't checked so don't think it's got anything to do with that.
Edited to add that I also get a problem when scrolling down the screen. On MSE for example, if I use the right scroll bar it will progress down the screen but then keeps jumping back up the page. Really irritating when you are trying to read threads as you read down to reply 12 for example and in the blink of an eye you are suddenly flicked back to reply 8. It's beginning to get on my nerves now. It happens virtually every time. If I use the roller to scroll down the page I get the problem described in the previous paragraph, ie text being selected, so can't win.
Would be grateful for any advice.0 -
Further to my last post above, I just tried replacing the brand new supplied batteries in the mouse and hey presto, its working perfectly. Thought it might be helpful to post this for others to help recognise signs of low batteries.
Clearly the batteries they supply are pants.
Whatever, I've got rechargeable batteries so planned to switch anyway. I'm happy with everything now.

I've found it quite annoying that when I want to use the mouse and keyboard I always have to press the button on the receiver and then the id buttons on the keyboard and mouse once I restart my computer. Is there any way it will always recognise the mouse and keyboard without pressing the buttons?
(NB I didn't install any drivers, just using plug and play)Life is one long project0 -
Hi. Have just got one of these and am extremely pleased with it!
Just a quick question tho -
Is there a way to stop the mouse flashing when the computer is switched off other than taking the batteries out? I assumed it would just go off after 5 minutes or so but it doesn't seem to and just eats up the battery.
Thanks x0 -
Appears to be out of stock now (from Amazon)!
Oh well, must find something else to spend my £10 Amazon voucher on!

Don't worry about battery life mine(as supplied)are still fine after 6 weeks - I had to use them in my torch 2 days ago. Also I've just received another set yesterday (ordered on Sat p.m.) so maybe they're not quite out of stock yet.Another point, owing to my not understanding the instructions too well I plugged in both plugs instead of just the USB,it worked O.K.for the first week and then the keyboard quit.Unplugging the extra plug totally solved this!(That's techie virgins for you)0
