I haven't being here for long time and I think I missed a lot.
Can i still put the claim thought? For misselling Endowment.
Do you mean complaint? not claim.
Over 3/4 of endowments are timebarred from complaint. Is yours one of those? i.e. you get three years from first being notified of a high risk of a shortfall. Most of those notifications were made between 2001 and 2005 and expired by 2008.
Also, what is your reason for complaint? You dont say.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. I have today been offered £1778 as compensation for prudential mis-selling me an endowment in 1996 and 2000.
This part of my mortgage currently has 9 years left and at present they are predicting my endowment will be £6500 short.
next big decision is what to do with it and my mortgage.Debt free by end of 2014

Interesting. Given the typical surrender penalty, it is actually possible that you are getting redress despite not being worse off. This part of my mortgage currently has 9 years left and at present they are predicting my endowment will be £6500 short.
It is not a prediction. It is an example projection.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. All mortgage endowments were missold, by the insurer with the sanction of the regulator.0 -

And you are an idiot and I have as much factual information to support that as you do to make your outlandish complaint. See that it what happens when you make wild outlandish comments. I cant say whether you are an idiot or not. You cant say they were all mis-sold. Not unless you were in every meeting for the 50-60 years that they were mainstream.
Most mortgage endowments were sold pre-regulation. So, how can a regulator that didnt exist sanction them?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi, I thought that we had missed the boat on claiming on our endowment ~ but have received a handout with latest endowment statement from company which says that we could still make a complain.
Has anyone had any joy on this?
Thanks0 -

Depends on what your reason for complaint is, what evidence you have to support it and what evidence the other party has to support the advice.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). When we purchased the endowment policy it was via the estate agent...I can remember sitting in the side room at the estate agents whilst they sorted the paperwork out for us (including the mortgage). There was no discussion on the risk that it would not meet the target. I do not have any evidence other than this other than knowing that the 'seller' of the policy was not a financial advisor ~ would this help?0
