i need more money

  • I'm just going to pop my head over the parapet and back down again before it gets blasted off, as I'm sure will happen.

OP asked for ideas of how she could make money. Obviously she hasn't take the time to read through the threads on this board, or she'd be overloaded with suggestions, just as cally mentioned, it would be the sensible thing to do, Beauty. However, I do think posters have been quite unfair to Jenny, and I say that PURELY in the respect that she answered the OP's question! I have no idea how many posts she makes touting party plan, I haven't noticed them before (this is a new username to me, but I've been round for a long while), but at the end of the day, if it's useful information and pertinent to the OP post and thread, then why not?

Good luck Beauty, hope you manage to make some extra money.

I don't post these posts in frugal living posts or flylady because they are not relevant but do pop on there now and then because making my own craft products as well as cleaning products is one of my passions :) I post about party plan on here because it's an 'Up your Income' thread and party plan is one way I, as well as many others, have found beneficial :)
What I think people are annoyed about is the many posts I have made on 'Up your Income' regarding it so again I apologise for sounding like a broken record.
Quite honestly - and I have said this before - I don't care what company people join, I recruit people at my parties because they like me and want to join my business but if I have suggested a company on here that I have found useful to me it may be of use to someone else. Of course if somebody is interested in joining my team that's fab but that's business and extra income for all concerned but I personally prefer to meet people locally and for them to get to know me.
But do you know what I have said sorry over and over again for annoying anyone - no-one else seems to have been slated like this and no other apologies have been made from people who have spammed by constantly asking people to pm them so I think I have apologised enough.
Good luck to everyone with your ventures new or old.

yeah i've noticed the same thing savemoney,

beauty - this forum "up your income" is absolutely CHOCK full of threads and posts that are anything and everything to do with how to "up your income" in a variety of ways

suggestion - pen and paper ... read some topics and jot down any ideas/ways to make money that are mentioned .. THEN ... start working through the list and see what methods you like the best which work for you

the main suggestion i would say is .. Get a Job or a second job

hi i already have a job, and my first post said i was looking for another second job as well. and have read some of the threads but just wanted ideas of what does ACTUALLY WORK. Cheers :)

    Hi there,

heres ones i can think of at the mo with no outlay.

Peopleperhour- Bidding for jobs, but i know some people who have been very successful at this and have gained work from it outside of the site.

consumer intelligence-Surveys online but they pay £30 or so... worth trying.

myhammer-bid for jobs like diy but they do have some cleaning jobs where i live and one was paying £10 and hour.

retail eyes- Mystery shopping, not used them but they always seem to have things going on locally for me.

Hope you make your money :)
  • thank you xx

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just wanted to add my two'pennorth.

Beauty, I can understand what you say about the amount of threads/posts etc, but it's hard to suggest definite 'tried and tested' ideas, as what works for one person might not work for another. For example, Jenny and Bluebella obviously do well at what they do, but party plan didn't work for me. Having said that, I currently work with another direct sales company that has a wider scope for selling the products and am finding it much better.

TBH, I'd be inclined to stick with the things you've mentioned for the time being. If you take on too many things, you may find that you've spread yourself too thin and don't get the most out of any of them. You'd be be better off doing one or two things well, than lots of things half-heartedly. Also, don't forget to factor in how much time you realistically have to give to other jobs.

The only truly tried and tested option would be to get a second job where you turn up, do the work and get paid. There should always be bar work, cleaning etc. available.

I do actually agree with you about taking too much on there LizD - I have been so guilty of that before and I have to watch myself even now, lol!
There are tons of ideas out there - party plan being just one of them :) There's also network marketing, bar work, cleaning - whether that be your own business or working for someone else :) It all depends if you want a job where you know the hours and KNOW that you are getting paid and what you are getting paid or if you need something more flexible to fit around family or other work commitments.
Also what skills and interests do you have? Great things have often been born out of ideas or interests you have that you can use to create your own business and extra income :)
As the saying goes if you can find a job that you love you will never 'work' again :)
Good luck in whatever you choose to do :)
