Prauge is a lovely place to go, quite romantic with lots of cafes, restaurants and chocolate shops.

I dont know where you live, but how about a night or two in London?

Rome, Rome! I took hubby for his 40th and we had an amazing time even in the middle of december! So romantic, lots of sights to see within walking distance of hundreds of hotels and food to die for! Cheap flights are easy to get hold of and tonnes of hotels to choose from. Nothing more relaxing than a lazy lunch in Piazza Novona! I am abit biased though cos DS was conceived there!:o

I love Florence and in September there's a good chance of perfect weather. Rome's only 1h40 away on the fast train.

I second Barcelona - what an amazing city. Loads to do as it's a city and the has the beach (for romantic strolls) nearby.
