Well Ive done it, Ive phoned CCCS, after all the advise received on here - I think this is the best way for us to go, after chatting to a really lovely man at CCCS we have our telephone interview next Tuesday.
Still very scary though.
Now I have to cancel our direct debits, have applied for a new bank account, scary part is phoning all the creditors and telling them that they are to deal with CCCS - wonder if I can email them instead!!.
Its amazing how one phone call can make you feel so much better.
Step one done - now gotta work towards being debt free.

Aw well done

Big weight lifted and now you know your one step further.
Don`t worry about calling creditors, i wouldn`t email. But you could always write if you didnt want to talk with them but ensure you send by recorded delivery.

Well done huskypup. I definitely go with the letter route - I hate phoning creditors
Letters also mean you've a paper trail.
