I've just signed up but I have been reading for months. I am getting married on 2nd Jan 2011.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a shortened version of canon in D to walk down the aisle to? Im not 100% sure this is what it will be but it top of the list at the moment but the original is 6 mins long.

I have googled but not having much luck.

I downloaded most of my wedding music (nearly 3 years ago) free via Limewire. Is that still going?

They had several versions of Canon in D on there - I was tempted by the electric guitar version for a while.

Just listened to them all, the last one is definitely the best - i don't personally like the others. I saw a great electric guitar version on youtube but don't think it'll really fit!! Can someone tell me how it works? I know the music starts before i walk in to give everyone a chance to stand but what happens if i get to the front and the music has a way to go? I love the music and, especially being a musician, i'm not going to be very happy if it's cut short but also don't want to look a right idiot standing there waiting for it to finish!! :rotfl:

A friend I met on another forum who got married in the same place as us sent me a copy of her entrance music, which she had practised with there and had it timed exactly.

Unfortunately I galloped and tripped my way down the aisle and reached the front way too early and our usher just switched the CD off. It's quite funny on the DVD though :rotfl:

It is always possible to get a copy and edit it to a suitable length.

Find out how long the walk will take and edit it appropriately.
