CSA on my case, help me please !!

Hi people, ok heres my story told in short. seperated from wife in 2005 to whom I had 3 children with, was on min wage etc and paid the min to csa, although from savings supplied everything kids needed. Ex wife alcoholic and spends money on herself why kids go without. 2007 one of my kids from that marriage wanted to live with me, and ex agreed. I didnt even stop to think tax creds were classed as income and as I managed to hold down my min wage 16hr week job, didnt mention the tax creds to csa. since then remarried a single mum of 1 and we have gone on to have twins, thus 4 kids in our household, we get child tax credit and working tax credit for them. I rang csa last march to inform them the household had increased and they told me to stop payments as a new demand would be sent out. ranf 4 or 5 times over the last yr and only yesterday did someone actually start to deal with the case again.

I have done the maths, looks like an underpayment on my part of about 4 grand over the last few yrs, since i took on my son whom is also my ex's son.

Our income is approx as follows (weekly) wages £92, Tax creds, both parts working and child amounts to £260, Child benefit of £60.

What can they take without the arrears and what can they take in total with the arrears. I do not resent paying it, but find it grossly unfair that they take child tax credit for other kids into account, seems a direct attack on my other childrens human rights?

Can prove been making voluntary payment well over and above the £5 a week assessment, plus got reciepts coming out of my ears for clothing, shoes etc. It makes me sick to pay the mother direct as she uses it to get drunk and party whislt my 2 kids still living with her are riddled in lice, they smoke refusly around them and they look like orphans and now it seems I will be squeezed so dry by csa I wont have the means to counter attack her neglect on the kids.

Incase it has all come out wrong, I am not a pwc who does not give a cr*p about my kids, I am in the middle of a custody battle to get them away from the alcholic drug taking loser who seems to have more rights being a waster than us decent folk.

Whats the future hold for me as far as the CSA is concerned ???

CSA don't really care in my opinion .If you have concerns about the kids in their current envirenment go to social services .

They can spread arrears over a 2 year period (at their discression ) although this is not law but could be longer if you aren't a big earner .

They can't get blood out a stone

are you claiming csa for the child that lives with you?

after all, children don't miraculously become free to look after just because they live with dad. :D
NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.

Unfortunately i thought of that one, but cos she is a lazy, jobless, ambitousless parasite sponging loser she is protected from paying a penny. I love my son too much to give him back to her in spite. The mad thing is, if i leave my current wife and kids and go live the selfish life of a single bloke I would only have to pay £5 a week, this country has gone to pot, I just hope the government wake up and realise they are destroying families but I doubt anything will happen !

You have to write to your MP to make him/her aware of the problems the system is causing you. They are the only ones that can make changes.

sadly I don't think the receipts you have will be taken into account - in our experience they send them to the PWC and ask her to agree to the amount being taken off the money you owe - and the chances of that happening.........???
