I have just bought a balance board and the wii fit plus for £59.97 from HMV. The trick is not to buy it as a bundle, buy each thing individually. Free postage too and as long as you don't mind a pink balance board it is in stock today! Good luck all.

The boards aren't Nintendo ones though are they?

Just wondering why everyone is suddenly going mad over these?

Mine has been gathering dust for over a year now :D but if there's some great reason to get it out again, please tell me what it is :D

(Cause if it's to get fit, EA Sports Active trumps Wii Fit every time!)

Kyresa I`m wondering this also cos people were going mad trying to get them last year ( me included, but i did`nt ) and i remember others saying that theirs were gathering dust as well !
I`ve got the EA Personal Trainer and its great.

I've got both and the EA Sports Active is much better but the Wii Fit Plus is really good fun. I use the balance board with EA Sports to do the aerobics step exercises and the kickboxing - adds a few extras so worth getting it out from under the bed...:rotfl:

  • They keep coming in stock at various retailers but sell out really quickly. The Wii Fit Plus has been really hard to get hold of since Christmas but there are serveral Wii Fit stock checkers that will help you locate one - you still have to be fast though!

My husband managed to get me the original Wii Fit & board in Sainsburys a couple of weeks ago for £60. I then ordered Wii Fit plus from HMV for £15, and still got it less than the Wii Fit Plus set. Keep an eye out in Sainsburys, as my husband said there were just the game boxes on the shelf and you had to go to customer services to get them.
We had been searching since early Jan for this and then they just popped up in Leatherhead Sainsburys.

Went into my local Sainsburys last night and they also had a Wii Fit for £60 didnt need the updated game so am well chuffed :)

Can I assume this was an NJoy balance board and not an actual Nintendo board?

If not - has anyone bought one of these 3rd party boards and are they any use?

I have read some bad reviews about these 3rd party boards so wouldn't go for them.
