Electoral Roll
I recently received a letter from my local council to say that I would be on the electoral roll as at February 1st. How long will it take to show up on my credit file? When I last checked my Experian score it was 792 (fair) . Would being on the roll push my score into the ' good ' category? I am waiting because I want to apply for a debt consolidation loan.

It will certainly improve things to be on the electoral roll - I think it can take around 4weeks to be appear on your credit report.
Remember though that no potential lender actually looks at your experian score. They each decide whether to lend based on their own internal criteria, its more important to know what is on your credit report rather than pay to see this theoretical score.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
