As of next week, I will have paid off the Ikea Card
Then time to pay more towards the Double Glazing debt ...I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -

I had to take a break from overpayments for a while but I have now resumed doing so and my double glazing debt is down to £800. :j
Hopefully this will be paid off in a few months and I will be able to tackle another outstanding debt.I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -
I feel that it is important to have a little saved because there are just some bills that you cannot pay with a credit card. ive never known a plumber for instance accept payment with a credit card. they want cash most of the time! You may be able to buy a bolier with a credit card but not their fees.Egg April 10 £6600 Jan £4678 now £0
Santander Jan £3414 April £3338
Virgin April£2643 Aug £3155 April £7109
Barclaycard Oct £1476 April £1287
So far paid off 17% of c.c. debt:T0 -
personally I didn't save until I'd cleared my debts (ok from June I started saving in a virtual seal pot and what I saved I have used for xmas this year). It was difficult when things arose but when that happened I just had to slash outgoings/pocket money to raise the cash. All of my spare cash went to debt & I was left with between £100 (on a couple of lean months) & £150 for spending. I know everyone is different but it made such a differnece in my motivation seeing the debt figures coming down.
I wish youe very success!DF as at 30/12/16
