Wed 10th Feb - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Good morning everyone....hope you're all well today:)
I'm actually showered for once....well I always shower, just not at 7am;) Going to go in to college this morning, just til 12....that'll be enough for me!
Ok, better crack on and get ready - here's my list for today:

Morning everyone,
Good luck to your pup tonight Triangle - fingers crossed!!
Failed a bit with my list yesterday, and had one of those "will I ever get debt free" days, so need to focus today and try and get my energy back again
Today:
-know I have bought new heads for electric toothbrush and put them somewhere - my aim is to find them instead of buying new ones!
-make some pizza dough for HM pizza's tonight
-check banking
-buy train tickets to visit friend next week
-call and make a payment to new credit card as don't think DD has been set up yet
-Post letter to HR confirming return to work dates so my pay gets sorted out
-reusable nappies and breastfeeding for LO
- i will tackle the budget today - currently we have 3 bank accounts with different things going in and out of them all and no clear idea where food even comes out of - we have an idea of what we have coming in and out and how much we spend on food, but haven't tidied up our bank accounts to make this work, so never feel we have any money - this is a big aim, so will try and do a bit of working out each day for the next few days on it
-look at life insurance for OH. He is in the forces so a bit complicated so need to look at different websites and do best to compare
Have good days everyone

Hi,
First time i've posted on the daily thread, but today i did my first shop on a budget, dropped brands and have a meal for every night of the week, just need to start the cooking. I was over by 6p but i think i'll let myself off with that.
I'm still quite new and loving my debt free journey.
Hope you all have a great day.:j0 -
Bit late on parade - sorry chaps!
Welcome Smiley :hello: and well done on your budget shop.
Soooo today I have / will:- checked banking and moved money around
- done free scratchies and bingo (nearly up to a tenner on B**lins B*ngo so will be so withdrawing that bad boy shortly)
- charged phone at work
- eaten sandwich at work
- sewed on buttons on e bay sale and wrapped it in lovely tissue-paper ready to send
- stitched hole in PJ's rather than just throwing them out which would have done prior to MSE
- Going to see Hairy Bikers this evening - OH is driving as his car is far more MSE than mine to run and it means that I don't have to break an NSD by buying fuel
