Looks like sainsbury's have catered for boring veggie non-drinkers like me! Thanks op, I may go for this one instead of the m&s one now :)

Just got the Seabass (£5.99), Mediterranean veggies (£2), large (!) New York vanilla cheese cake (£3.65) and a bottle of Pinot Grigiot (£9.99) all for £10, saving £11.63! Great deal!

what makes me cross is the picture advertising it shows TTD tiramisu....and then its not on the list... gggrrrrr
  • Got the steak in ale (£4 ish), roast potatoes (£2), cheesecake (£3.65) and red wine (£8.99). Saving over 8 pounds.

The cheesecake and roast potatoes will be for Sunday to go with a lovely piece of Lamb I have. The steak and ale in will help make a easy Monday tea and the wine will be get stashed away as a present for my parents (either their anniversary or towards their xmas hamper). I can't currently drink and found these offers are a great way of getting decent giftable wine for virtually free!

Although it worth noting that stock must be going fast as my sainsbury's only had cheesecake on offer so they started offing a cheese selection as well as a dessert so there will be local variations.

Finally got to Sainsbury's today - paella, dauphinoise, cheesecake & J2O, so saved £3 odd. Very poor choice & no wine at all but thats what happens when you get there at 1pm!

I wish DH would make his mind up faster about what we were going to do: he waits till the last minute & acts surprised when restaurants or theatres are fully booked, or when the full range of choice has disappeared. (missing the shrug icon!)

  • I was very disappointed with mine.
    2 tiny chicken breasts ( £4.99 ) ( I could have bought a cooked chicken much cheaper)
sliced potato in cream and garlic ( probably one potato )
    fruit custard type sweet
    1 bottle wine

I could actually have cooked a much better meal for less and this still had to be cooked. Even including the wine I wouldn't bother again, I am still hungry and had to supply my own veg

We've had the paella before and it's lovely - I'm sure after these deals for the next few weeks the items that were in the offer go to half price, so I shall keep my eyes open!
