worst period of my life!

Hi,

Over the past week or so I have been desperately looking for a loan of 3-4K from any lender I can. I have applied to sainsburys and alliance, Zopa and leicester but have been refused by all.

I was happy when I got a loan approved from Quick Decision Loans, but after reading some of the posts on this forum, I guess its fair to say that seems to be nothing more than a scam to get £70 off me.

I have checked the free credit report on experian and it all seemed OK.

I have not applied for a loan from my current bank Barclays because I have not really been very smart about the way I have handled my current account and thought they would most definitely say no. (I have regularly gone over my overdraft and at the moment I have maxed out my reserve).

Another thing which I had no idea would effect me was the fact that I was not on the electoral role. Not gonna vote so whats the point was my view, since starting this loan hunt I have seen how wrong I have been.

I know if I was to take out a loan I would actually be in a good position to pay it back. I have been in a job for one and a half years and making around 1.6K pcm after taxes. I live with parents so no worries about rent or mortgage. The only outgoings I have are £200 for food and £22 for broadband.

I know the best option would probably be to wait a few months and save the money myself but unfortunately something urgent has come up and I need the money within a week or so.

I realise now there is little chance of finding a source for my loan but would appreciate greatly if anyone could suggest any companies I may be able to try.

Thanks in advance

You have already applied to 2/3 different provider, you are not on the electoral roll, you chance of getting a loan I would say are nil. The other thing that could have an impact is if you don't have any some of credit card/catalogue account which would show to a potential lender how you are managing your finance. Might be worst trying with your bank and ask them if they would consider lending you the money

Something urgent's never come up in my life where I need £4k+ at short notice.

I'm sure if you do achieve the loan you'll regret not saving/waiting in the long-term.
