How can I find out how my endowment has been performing ?
I have an illustration that tells me how much it will over/underpay at 4,6,8%, but what I want to find out is at what rate has it grown, or is it growing at the moment, yet the Pru tell me they cannot calculate this information ?
thanks
mike

Pru no longer have the licence to give financial advice and will usually recommend an IFA. IFAs have access to this information through research companies and data which is paid for.
There are some consumer data feeds, such as Morningstar and trustnet which give basic information but the info is not as detailed as the paid for feeds. You dont get the PRU WP fund data on those feeds so if you are invested in that, dont expect to find much info there.
If it is the Pru WP fund, then whereas that would be a concern with many providers, Pru are one of the strongest and if your endowment is a 25 year one, then you could be quietly confident of coming in on track. More Pru endowments moved into "green" this year and that trend is expected to continue.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
psychic or what ? it is a (ex-scottish amicable) Pru With-profits. Thankfully we are not dependent on it to cover the mortgage, and like you, I have faith in the long term (it has another 13yrs), but if I could just see something telling me it has been performing at 3% or 6% or whatever, I'd be happier, and so would 'the other half', who worries more about these things than I do.0
