Small Valentines sweets!

At Christmas I bought my OH a fairly big cookie jar and filled it with random sweets. I thought it would be a good idea to refill it every holiday with appropriate things, so for Valentines it's going to be red/heart sweets etc, and at Easter it's going to have foil wrapped eggs and the such. Only thing is, it's such a big jar that from what I've seen I'm going to have a bit of trouble filling it up cheaply for Valentine's day, I want to spend about 5 or 6 pounds. So far I have two packets of red foil wrapped coins for 39p each, I'll get a few rolls of Love hearts for about 35p each, and a net of foil wrapped heart chocs for £1 in Sainsburys but I don't think this will fill it up very much. Has anyone else seen any bargains which would be suitable for this purpose? The jar is a bit like this http://www.stormthecastle.com/terrarium/images/terrarium-for-kids/cookie-jar-terrarium.jpg

I would try somewhere like home bargains - last year they had 4-packs of love hearts very cheap (I think about 30/40 pence). Does it have to be sweets? Most of the supermarkets have 'Polish' sections; some stock a heart shaped cakey-biscuit type thing.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0

Home Bargains is where I got the choc coins from, but that was a while back and they didn't have much Valentines stuff in then so hopefully they'll have more choice when I go in
Was also disappointed in Wilkinsons, asked where their Valentines stuff was and the woman pointed me to one tiny stand of cards, would have thought they'd have loads of stuff in? Or has that changed now?

Have a look in Tesco I got some nets of ladybirds (lovebugs) for £1.04 each - 13 in a net - I made these with them
Asda have nets of caramel filled hearts - 10 in a net for £1.00
And I covered Twilight mints to make these
And then I made some Hug in A Mug Packs
This bee was made using a round humbug

Those ladybirds are so cute, just the kind of thing I'm looking for
The coins in the Hug in a mug are the ones I already have too. Great crafts by the way, I love all your little gift packs

Hi Claire Bear,
I saw some Valentine chocolates in Tesco today. The are individually wrapped in pink and red paper and I think they say something like "I love you so much" or something like that (cant remember exactly). 42p each or 3 for £1.00.:smileyhea0 -
Try here;
http://www.keepitsweet.co.uk/catalog/index.php/cPath/63
they have lots of valentine's type things which are mostly £1 for 75g. I think if you use the code POSTPALS you get 10% discount and free delivery and possibly a donation to postpals. Can't say for sure but if you search this site Vikki from PostPals has posted it somewhere. hthI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
