the lady said i should be picking tomatoes off them by july but they;ve not even started growing yet!!!

not sure what is wrong but do know you dont start feeding them till you see the fruits beginning if that any help till someone else comes along0

oh, i thought i read somewhere that you start feeding them when the flowers appear, ooops

the first lot of flowers have been and gone weeks ago and there's about 5 sets on each plant now and the top ones have yellow flowers on now but no sign of tomatoes further down at all

spray the yellow flowers with water to help the fruit set.Once the flowers die you should see little tiny toms .Pinch out the growing tip of each plant (topmost new bit) after 3 trusses of flowers so that the plant can concentrate on producing the fruit instead of using its energy in making more leaf. Mine have had flowers for ages and fruit for about a month but nothing red yet.0

If they are in a greenhouse, is it possible that they have not been pollinated. Do tomatoes need bees? Maybe you need to put them outside for a bit. I have always grown mine outside, its just a thought.0

Tomatoes are self pollinating.Meaning they can pollinate themselves with the same flower. Just shaking them or spraying them with water should be enough. I have some in a greenhouse and some outside (same variety) and they have pollinated .0 -
I wouldn't panic just yet - it depends on the variety, and toms do seem to be a bit late this year; mine are only just turning red on some of them, whereas others are still only flowering.0
