What to do bake with this mix of ingredients?

Hi,

I was making Midnight Cookies, and in my haste, instead of creaming the caster sugar and the butter have put the caster sugar into a bowl with the plain flour, cocoa and baking soda. I've made another batch, correctly this time, but am wondering what I can do with my mix of original ingredients. Any ideas? I have milk, 125g of butter and five eggs in the fridge.

TIA,
Veersix.

chocolate muffins, add 1 egg whisked, 80g marg melted and some yougurt if you have it. Make a thick ish batter and put in cases. I mix and matchon muffins so don't really have a recipe. But i always add the wet ingredients to the dry and fold together rather than cream for fairy cakes etc.

I'm sure someone will be able to help you better!:rotfl:

  • Melt butter in a pan and add bit my bit to the dry ingredients - I would make cookies out of them.
  • IMHO creaming it all etc etc makes no difference. If you just mix in rest of ingredients it will prob. work. Certainly does for cakes. Has worked for some bickies I've made too. Heres hoping.
  • I would add the butter and whisk up, like you would a cake too
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Thanks for all the suggestions. In the end, I just creamed the butter, then added the rest of the ingredients and the cookies turned out fine. Well, I say I creamed the butter, but what actually happened was that I overheated the bowl and the beater beforehand and the butter ended up melting  Then I'm pretty sure that the beaten egg I added cooked slightly with the heat of the bowl as the mixture felt thicker than normal. Still, it all came good in the end and they got the thumbs up from my harshest critics :)

    Thanks,
    veersix.
