should i get a payslip with redundancy pay

sorry if this is not the best place but didnt know where else to put it.

I wonder if you can help me regarding a payment I've received for redundancy?

On the 29th June a sum of money appeared in my bank account. I guessed it was my redundancy pay but its taken 2 weeks of chasing to get any information
Today I get a letter saying i was paid x amount made up of severance pay paid net and notice pay with gross and net figures. I have nothing that actually tells me how much tax,insurance and pension i paid on the lieu of notice pay.

they tell me my P45 will be sent soon and will continue to pay my smp and send payslips.
But surely I should have received a payslip for the redundancy pay or at least a breakdown of the deductions?

You're wageslip should be sent with the P45 so I recon you will receive it soon, if it don't arrive by the end of the week then give them a ring

They are going to continue to pay my SMP so am I right in thinking I will get a second P45 and will need both to claim a tax refund

When I took voluntary redundancy I got......my final wage slip as usual, a wage slip for the week in lieu of notice but no slip for the redundancy payment made.

i called them in the end. they said that as the payment wwas made after the salary run they are unable to produce a payslip until the next one so i should get it at the end of the month when i get my smp paid.

my hubby didnt get a wage slip for his redundancy money either think it has something to do with it not being part of your wage and you not paying tax on it :-)

thanks, the only thing is i paid tax ni and pension on the payment in lieu of notice and have nothing that tells me how much i paid in each.
