Saffron Building Society - Anyone used them? How long to get accepted?

My broker has suggested i take out a mortgage with saffron building society. I already had an agreement in principle from halifax, but he said they have a good fixed rate on offer at the moment.
Application gone through, they would have received all documents yesterday.
When will i expect to hear anything from them? When will i know if ive got the house or not.
I cant get excited until the mortgage has been approved.
