No funds for mortgage redemption

  • Thank you Conrad. I really appreciate your help and interest. We won't have a problem keeping up with payments, it's just that I've had nightmares about HSBC doing a repossession. Your comments have certainly helped to calm my nerves!! I have a slight worry that when you sign your mortgage papers and agree to redeem at a certain time, isn't that an enforceable binding contract?

I've no idea what you mean about signing 'mortgage papers' - you dont agree to redeem at a certain time normaly unless its a bridging loan.

People just sell and redeem as and when.
  • We took out a 10 year mortgage, tracker, interest only. This loan due to be repaid in April 2010.
