I had 7 good years of life out of my last Fujitsu-Siemens PC (still going well now...) upgrading the memory & disk along the way. Only got one of these Scaleos now in order to get ready for the next 7 with a PC that copes with Win XP.

    I've got a Scaleo P with :

    Intel P4 650 3.4 HT 800 2MB, 1024Mb Ram , ATI Radeon 700 PCIE , Samsung SATA 250GB 7200 HDD , Philips DVD , LG Dual layer DVD writer , 7.1 Realtek soundcard , multi format card reader , Wireless keyboard/mouse , Wireless K+M, 10/100 802.11g , 6 USB 2.0 (2 in front), MS Windows , 2 Firewire connections , 2 speakers & sub , Windows XP Pro , more software than I care to mention , probably more hardware that escapes me at the moment , build quality is exceptional , nice & quiet , total cost £295 with 12 months collect & return warranty !!
More than I'll ever need but a machine that to me is excellent value & good quality .

Ask your local friendly Fujitsu Siemens re-seller nicely & you'll be amazed at what he could come up with . The suggested selling price for this system was £455 , I offered £220 , we met at £295 . Polite haggling always works wonders .:j

My system but I only bought the baseunit & it wasn't from this dealer . As per the 42" plasma deal , never pay list price for anything .

Now this is real moneysaving talk! BTW do you play any heavy duty games on your Scaleo P - how does it measure up?

That raises a good question; is it better value to buy the machine above, which is a second user refurb with 6 months warranty @ £249, or the new one of higher spec CPU/HDD (but lower graphics) & 12 months warranty £25 less? Surely the brand new celeron is a better deal?
