Melt and pour soap is really easy to do, and you can use all sorts of containers for moulds, such as the little silicone ice cube trays, plastic pudding tubs, yoghurt pots, silicone cupcake cases etc. You will need to melt the soap in a big jug using a microwave (do it in one big batch and pour a little into a bowl for each person), then let them choose a colour and essential oil to add to their batch, as well as extras like oats, honey, coffee, plastic beads etc. When it is completely set, pop it out of the moulds and wrap it in cling film, or for small soaps put them in a ziplock bag - M&P soap tends to 'sweat' after a while if it is exposed to the air.
It would cost a bit to set up though buying the colours and soap, but essential oils aren't too expensive if you stick to a few basics like lavender, peppermint, rose etc. I get very big blocks of soap off ebay as it works out cheaper, but you can buy a kilo or so for not too much of an initial outlay.
The bonus of course is that they can then use what they have made or give it away as a present! You can get quite experimental with it - there are tutorials all over the net. Do a search on Instructables.com to find one I wrote some time ago to get more detailed instructions and some ideas.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
