County Court Judgement - Help & Advice Please

I've just been reviewing my credit file and have noticed that a judgement was registered against me by Thames Water. I was aware of the application, but not aware of the fact that if I settled within one calendar month the debt wouldn't be recorded. The Judgement was recorded on 11/12/2008 and I settled the debt on 15/01/2009 - As I settled just outside of the one month period but the one month period included the holiday period do I have a case to have the Judgement removed from my file? If so how do I go about it?

I think you'd be hard pressed to get that removed. If you're late settling it they'll record it. Unless the month day fell on a holiday it's highly unlikely they'd find that christmas/new year being in between would be a good reason. It's usually things like you having been in hospital, had a bereavement etc. No harm in trying though..

i'd have a go at least trying to get it removed using the xmas holidays as an excuse - the worst they can say is no.

ccj's shouldn't automatically be on file for 6yrs, there should be a sliding scale depending on the quickness the debt's paid off.
