Hi there Shomk
My OH's wages are unpredictable as he's a self employed builder (not the best job to be in at the moment) but mine are the same every month. What I do is add all income together at the end of the month then take off bills for the following month. Whatever's left is split as follows:
30% for OH's work costs (eg tools, diesel, van maintenance/repairs, etc)
20% for savings/debt
20% for food
30% for everything else which is further broken down into:
50% holidays
20% personal spending (eg clothes, toiletries, drinks out)
10% house (decorating, etc)
10% christmas/birthdays
10% other
Obviously you can tailor it to suit as everyone is different. Hope this helps.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
